I’m walking away with more confidence, more skills, and a deeper sense of who I am as a journalist and a storyteller. We’re not at the finish line yet, but we’re getting there. And I’m really proud of this chapter.

This week, I had the chance to fill in at the anchor desk for Carolina Week, and honestly, it shifted something for me. I realized I might actually be capable of building a successful on-air career — maybe that isn’t so far-fetched. 

This week, I successfully—at least I’d say successfully—completed my first live shot for Carolina Week, UNC-Chapel Hill’s student-led on-air
